PETER MEIER, INC. PRIVACY POLICY

Please read the following policy carefully to understand what information Peter Meier, Inc., (“PMI”) gathers and how PMI will use that information. This policy is subject to change. We encourage you to check the Privacy Policy each time you visit PMI’s website (the “Site”) so that you understand our current privacy policy. By using the Site, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy in effect at that time.

What information does PMI collect?

PMI does not automatically collect personally identifiable information. Users must submit personally identifiable information (i.e., information that could be used to identify you individually such as your company name, your first and last name, your billing address, your shipping address, your telephone number, and your e-mail address) in connection with registration as a user of the Site and for the purchase of PMI’s products. Information submitted to PMI is stored through the company creating and hosting the Site which is currently through WordPress.com by Automattic, Inc.

What are cookies and how does PMI use them?

A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. PMI does not currently utilize cookies, but PMI may in the future from time to time use cookies to store and sometimes track information about your use of the Site. In most instances, you can refuse cookies by turning them off in your computer’s browser.

What about Do Not Track signals the Site receives?

The Site does not recognize or respond to Do Not Track signals at this time.

What information can visitors to the Site submit to PMI?

When registering through the Site or purchasing products through the Site, a user must submit a company name, the user’s first and last name, a billing address, a shipping address, a telephone number, and an e-mail address. Users will typically submit payment-related information to PMI’s third-party vendors such as Authorize.net who process such payments on behalf of PMI.

Who receives the information submitted and what is done with this information?

Any information collected by or submitted to PMI is maintained by PMI and not provided to any third parties except as set forth in this Privacy Policy. PMI restricts access to the information to certain PMI employees who need to know such information in connection with their employment duties. PMI maintains security safeguards on its computer servers and uses SSL encryption.

PMI provides personally identifiable information to vendors such as Authorize.net for the purposes of processing payments for orders placed by users through the Site. PMI recommends that users review the privacy policies of these third-party vendors. PMI is not responsible for the information collection practices of third parties.

How does PMI use information that you provide?

PMI uses the information provided to fulfill orders placed by users and to contact users for marketing purposes. The information submitted to PMI will only be used for the purposes described on the Site or this Privacy Policy, except when necessary in PMI’s sole discretion to satisfy any law, regulation, governmental or judicial request, or to protect PMI or its employees, attorneys, officers, directors, clients or business partners. Otherwise, the information submitted will not be provided to any third parties except as contemplated on the Site or in this Privacy Policy. PMI may retain copies of all information submitted to PMI in either electronic or paper form, at its sole discretion.

A word of caution about security

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. As a result, while we attempt to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security. However, PMI cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to your information.

What about children’s privacy?

The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13 and we do not intend to collect information from any person under 13 years of age on the Site. Parents should not allow children to provide any such information. If we determine that a child has provided information in violation of this policy, we will delete that information as soon as practicable. If any parent or guardian becomes aware that any child has provided information, please send us an e-mail at PMIMARKETING@PETERMEIER.COM so we can delete that information.

When is this Privacy Policy effective?
