Born in Hohenems, Austria. Spent part of his early years in London, 2 1/2 years. Peter earned his money as a luggage porter (60 hours per week) to pay for 15 hours per week of language schooling. (Private London schools are expensive) ! |
In 1973, started at Grass Austria in the export business and traveled around the globe from Iceland to Tokyo to build the business for Grass and find agencies around the world for hinges and drawer slides. Peter moved in 1977 to North Carolina to start Grass America which he built to a 25 million dollar company within 7 years. He sold his shares back to the Grass family and left after the manufacturing of drawer slides began in 1986. At this time, he started PMI. |
Peter likes to ski. Being part of a sailing team is always enjoyable. He is a certified scuba diver and single-engine pilot (110 hours). He ran the New York Marathon in 1986 and 1990, in a "slow but steady pace"! Enjoys time with his wife Renate and the various family dogs and likes to spend a quiet evening at home. |
